I had the good fortune of growing up and living side by side with numerous fish and wildlife. My favorite haunts were the big woods of Minnesota, the surging channel and backwaters of the most beautiful St. Croix River in Wisconsin and the rolling prairie grasslands and wetlands of South Dakota.
Now I've put together a number of short stories drawn from these places. So come along with me now as we witness a Hawk (sharpshin) in attack mode, a garfish on the hunt and a female pintail duck trying to hatch roasted eggs.
Bird watching, hunting or just being outside in natural surroundings adds a spark of life and a deeper appreciation of the wonders of the natural world.
